WILL HITZELBERGER

Sport has influenced nearly every chapter of my life.

It gave me the opportunity to attend college as an athlete. It introduced me to strength and conditioning and ultimately gave me a career that I could never have imagined when I first started competing.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working across nearly every level of sport—from professional and international athletes to college athletics, high school teams, and young athletes just beginning their journey.

For more than 20 years, I've also had the opportunity to lead and grow SPECTRUM Performance alongside my business partner, Dan Schuck. During that time, we've worked with thousands of athletes and families. We've watched young athletes gain confidence, overcome injuries, earn opportunities to compete in college, reach the professional level, and—most importantly—discover what they're capable of.

But over those same 20 years, we've encountered one barrier more than any other.

Cost.

We've met countless athletes who wanted to train. Parents who wanted to give their children an opportunity. Kids who were willing to show up, work hard, and get better.

But sometimes the resources simply weren't there.

That has always bothered us because talent isn't determined by income. Neither is work ethic, character, ambition, or potential. Yet access too often is.

Dan and I created The I Will Project because we believe there should be another answer.

We want to remove financial barriers and create opportunities for young athletes who otherwise might never have access to professional coaching, performance training, mentorship, sports science, injury prevention, and the many other resources that can help them succeed.

And while athletic development is where this begins, our mission is bigger than creating better athletes.

Sport taught me lessons that have shaped my entire life—discipline, resilience, accountability, teamwork, leadership, and the willingness to keep working when things get difficult. Every young person deserves the opportunity to learn those lessons and discover where they can take them.

That's what I Will represents.

I Will Work Hard.
I Will Get Better.
I Will Overcome.
I Will Believe.
I Will Lead.
I Will Give Back.

We can't guarantee where sport will take a young athlete.

But we can make sure that cost isn't the reason they never get the opportunity to find out.

That's why we're here.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't.

CORE PILLARS

_________________

OPPORTUNITY

Potential should never be limited by access.

We believe every young athlete deserves a chance. Financial circumstances shouldn't determine who gets access to quality coaching, training, mentorship, and resources.

_________________

BELIEF

Sometimes opportunity begins with believing something is possible.

Confidence is built through preparation, accomplishment, failure, and trying again. We want young people to discover what they're capable of.

I Will Believe.

WORK

Opportunity means something when you're willing to work for it.

We believe in effort, preparation, consistency, and earning progress. We can help open the door, but the athlete has to choose to walk through it.

I Will Work Hard.

TEAM

We are stronger together.

Sport teaches young people that success isn't only about themselves. It requires trust, accountability, sacrifice, and a willingness to contribute to something bigger.

I Will Be a Great Teammate.

GROWTH

Better is always possible.

Success isn't defined only by wins, scholarships, records, or championships. We believe in helping young people become better athletes—and better versions of themselves.

I Will Get Better.

LEADERSHIP

Use what you've learned to make others better.

Leadership isn't a title. It's how you show up, how you treat people, and the example you set.

I Will Lead.

RESILIENCE

What happens next matters more than what just happened.

Sport teaches us to deal with failure, adversity, injury, disappointment, and uncertainty. We believe those moments can develop strength that lasts far beyond competition.

I Will Overcome.

SERVICE

Opportunity creates a responsibility to give back.

Our ultimate goal isn't simply to create successful athletes. We want to develop young people who eventually create opportunities for someone else.

I Will Give Back.
